You might avoid social events that could worsen or provoke your symptoms, such as work, family gatherings, and other social interactions, due to your extreme anxiety.

Nearly 30% of adults experience an anxiety disorder at some point in their lives, making it the most common of all mental disorders. There are, however, several effective therapies for anxiety disorders. Most people who receive treatment can live regular, fulfilling lives.
