Fear Of The Future
As a person grows older, the certainty of death becomes more realistic and can usually be a source of apprehension and worry. But many retirees also struggle with concerns linked to pre-mortality matters. They may be asking themselves:
- If my physical health declines, will I have to give up the hobbies I love?
- Will my life still have meaning if I’m no longer useful?
- How long will I be able to take care of myself?
- Can I manage losing my loved ones?
- Will I lose my mental capabilities?
None of these questions have any definitive answers. And wondering what the future will hold can be a source of a lot of anxiety for your aging loved one.
