2. She criticizes everything you do

Another common trait of a jealous person is that they tend to criticize everything they see because they feel the need to prove they’re better than the criticized person.

This is also the case with a jealous mother-in-law who tries to “compete” with her daughter-in-law by showing that even the food she cooks tastes better. This behavior can reach pretty far, and in the end, it can do more damage than good to the relationship. Many women end relationships and even marriages, especially when they have to share a home with their in-laws for an extended period of time.
