Your relationship

It may sound surprising to you, but another problem therapy sessions can’t fix is your relationship. There’s an old saying that goes, “It takes two to have a strong and healthy relationship,” and to achieve that level of security, you must work on it together with your partner. A couple of therapy sessions might indeed help you get through some conflicts between us, but only if both of you desire to have this relationship.

In case you and your partner are facing difficulties and you started couple counseling, use the advice your therapist gave you to include in your relationship. Take risks, change what can be changed, and if it’s possible, cure yourself first. Start going to therapy both individually and as a couple. Think long-term and put everything in balance. Some relationships might not be worth the effort, while others can be fixed in a matter of months.
