5. Family environment

A child raised in a family where at least one member has schizophrenia is almost certain to experience trauma. Parents who suffer from this mental illness can’t take full responsibility for their children or take care of them accordingly. And while family environment can be a huge risk factor, studies have shown that, on the other hand, there are a lot of patients who have schizophrenia but come from perfectly good and healthy families.

Scientists say that while it’s important to know your family background and be aware of the diseases they had, it’s also crucial to take care of your own health as much as possible. Even if schizophrenia can’t be cured, if you feel at least one of the symptoms we will mention later on in our article, then visit your doctor as soon as possible.
