8 Diseases You Can Prevent By Being Thankful

1. Type II diabetes

Bit by bit, our lifestyle choices, like a lack of exercise and the wrong diet, may lead to changes that aren’t that healthy for our mind and body. Furthermore, most people are not satisfied with gaining a few pounds, but at the same time, very few have the necessary motivation to actually start doing something about it. It’s very important to know that our body’s inability to regulate blood sugar properly results in diabetes, which is a very common disease after the age of 50 that leads to other medical conditions.

However, recent studies have shown that people who are thankful and show gratitude towards their lives are more likely to start exercising (and by exercise, I mean yoga, fitness, pilates, or simple jogging), have a healthy diet, and they can also easily engage in plenty of recreational activities that can help reduce or defend against type II diabetes.

Let’s start by doing something positive for ourselves, even if we don’t feel like it every single day. Patience is the key! You can try it too.

I have experienced insomnia for many years, mainly because of stress. At some point I did write what I was grateful for and I remember it being helping. Somewhere along the line I forgot I had done that and your article reminded of that time. So, I will begin again and see how this works. Thank you so much.
