Because of all the years spent on grief theories that focused on closure, acceptance, and moving on, it shouldn’t come as a surprise that so many grievers are feeling self-conscious about keeping ties with their deceased loved one after a certain amount of time. So when it comes to the grief theory, times are changing.

Nowadays, there are more discussions about how healthy grief requires finding new ways to view the relationship you had with that person. If you’re open to new ideas, there’s this brand new point of view known as the Continuing Bonds Theory, that teaches you new ways to continue bonds with your deceased loved one.
