5. You are an expert procrastinator

You have an important thing to do, and you tell yourself that today is the day you get it done. You can’t wait any longer. Or can you? You’ve been postponing this matter for two weeks already. But after giving it a second thought, you say to yourself that you can do it tomorrow.

What we have described here is basically the definition of procrastination. Now, all of us tend to put things off, but if you know that you always do this, you can call yourself a procrastinator.

So, why are procrastinators more likely to be more intelligent than the average? Well, when you put things off, you let more creative ideas develop. If you were to jump in immediately, you would probably choose the most obvious and conventional one.

If you postpone things just because you don’t feel like doing them, this is one thing, but if you put them off because you don’t feel prepared for them and you need more time to find the best solution, this is the approach that people with a higher IQ choose.
