7. Loss of interest in your favorite hobbies
If there were things you used to enjoy but they are no longer in your field of interest, it may be an early warning sign of a mental health issue. Without hobbies or passions that keep us entertained, we feel weird and lost, and life becomes unbearable to handle. This sudden loss of interest in things that you loved is widely known as “anhedonia,” and it’s a major symptom of depression.
Specialists say that anhedonia appears because of low serotonin levels, and it can become overwhelming because it will affect your day-to-day life activities, relationships with your family and friends, and also your overall productivity.
