Cook Together

We all know that cooking with somebody is an intimate activity that promotes conversation, connection, and physical closeness.

If you and your spouse have fallen into the same ole’ habit of “I cook, you clean,” try switching things up a bit with some teamwork in the kitchen regularly.

The newfound hobby as a senior couple will get both parties more excited about food, and the payoff may even come in the form of passion as dessert. When you stop to think about it, a lot of quality bonding happens in the kitchen. Cooking for your partner is considered romantic.

But cooking together can take it to the next level. Cooking as a senior couple is a way to work on your teamwork skills. It helps you concentrate on the simple joy in your life and gives you some wonderful memories to look back on.

You obviously don’t have to do this every night. But try going for once a week. If you’re both experienced in the kitchen, consider taking turns being head chef and sous chef so you each can take the lead.
