In what way are schizophrenia and depression linked?

Truth be told, how depression and schizophrenia are connected is still a mystery. Even so, there’s 2020 research that pointed out the fact that the corticolimbic system might have something to do with it, but also the prefrontal cortex, amygdala, and hippocampus.

On the other hand, there are other studies that suggest that both inflammations are linked to brain inflammation. Besides, there’s more evidence that schizophrenia and depression might share the same genetic risk factors.
