9 Signs You Need to See a Psychiatrist NOW

6. Alcohol or any other substance abuse

If all the above mentioned signs weren’t that worrying, this one in particular is horrifying! A lot of people who struggle with mental health issues are prone to alcohol abuse. This is more of a coping mechanism when life becomes too much to handle and drinking becomes a bad habit that can wreak even more havoc on your health!

If you notice this on yourself or on a close friend, please be aware that this is a major red flag that indicates that the person needs professional help (a psychiatrist) as soon as possible!
