4. Limit medical research

The Internet’s multi-functioning use, along with its versatility, can trap anyone in a day of research. It’s definitely a great tool for learning a new skill, planning your next vacation, and so many other delightful reasons, but a not-so-great one for diagnosing symptoms.

Raise your hand if you’ve looked for information and answers on WebMD. We’ve all been there. You may think that this action may be helping you, but it is actually feeding anxiety. Before you know it, you may be thinking that you’re dying.

In order to cope with health anxiety, it’s important to limit your daily use of medical research. Only use reliable sources for information, and try filtering your smartphone, laptop, and tablet to limit health news.
