Disrespect

We always treat others the way we want to be treated, right? Wrong! Even though some of us might follow this code of ethics, others unfortunately do not.

If someone treats you in a way you don’t want to be treated, talks down to, belittles, or constantly insults you, then this person doesn’t have very much respect for you.

Respect is earned but also shared. If this untrustworthy behavior trait appears in that person, walk away, and don’t waste your trust in this individual.

They dominate conversations

While some people like to talk, manipulators will try to dominate conversations entirely. This is known as auditory space invasion, and it’s about them wanting to show they’re in control. They’re usually charming and good storytellers. So, it might be hypnotic to listen to them.

And they love getting the attention. It’s why being an attention-seeker who loves to dominate conversations is another sign of an untrustworthy person.

According to a licensed mental health counselor, these types of individuals can never have enough of your attention or time. They might say or do things in a dramatic to keep your interest or shock you.

The more engagement you give, the more they’ll keep it up. This sort of person may not be trustworthy because they’ll take from you emotionally without giving anything back.
