6 Risk Factors for Schizophrenia Every Senior Must Know

While a child’s environment influences their mature life in a variety of ways, certain lifestyle factors of the child after becoming an adult are strongly linked to schizophrenia development. And, believe it or not, one of them is stress.

Post-traumatic stress disorder, like other mental disorders, may be caused by or made worse by psychological stress, which has physiological implications. Besides being a risk factor for developing certain heart diseases, psychological stress may lead to schizophrenia in later years.

Schizophrenia patients develop heightened sensitivity to change and stress. An episode might be started by psychological stress alone. One of the key elements of preventing relapse is creating and adhering to a routine.
