6 Things You Should NEVER Tell Your Grandchildren

5. “Will this treat make it better?”

Being a grandparent is not easy, and many times your grandkids can perceive you as a lesser authority than their parents. Maybe because you are more indulgent, or maybe because this is something that usually happens. No matter the reason, you should learn to control this situation.

Keep in mind that making up for disappointment with a present is never a good idea. Let’s say that you should have gone to the amusement park, but something happened, and this is not possible anymore. Giving your grandchildren a present or some sweets to make up for that is not the best way to do it.

This is one of the things you should never tell your grandchildren because it can cause major problems in the future. Buying something nice will not erase what has already happened. This can lead the little ones to believe that you can treat someone poorly because if you buy them something after, everything is okay. But it is not like that, and we all know it.
