Panic Attack Coping Strategy: Admit What’s Happening

As impossible as it might seem, there’s a moment when you can create a little space between panic-driven thoughts and some logic and peace.

Experts have told Psychology Diary that when beliefs like, “I’m having a heart attack” or “I’m losing control,” are invading your thoughts, you can recognize that these remarks are not facts and allow them to pass as fast as they appeared.

While it may be tough, one of the best panic attack coping strategies we can give you is to remind yourself that you know what’s happening and that this panic will eventually stop.

Knowing this will be a helpful way to gain peace at that moment and also help give you a long-term strategy for averting attacks in the future.
