Uncomfortable Similarities: 5 Ways Putin Can Be Compared With Hitler

Machiavellianism? They Both Annexed Foreign Territory Using The Same Excuses

As far as we know, Medieval kings could seize whatever land they wanted. Nevertheless, modern conquerors better have some excellent justifications if they want to avoid getting ganged up on by the rest of the world for what looks like unprovoked imperialist hostility.

And if your name is Putin or Hitler, you’ll have difficulty convincing anyone, unless you have them at literal gunpoint, to believe your version of events.

Vladimir Putin’s reasoning regarding the war in Ukraine is even more ridiculous when you acknowledge that it’s the same absurdity the Nazis tried to dole out before their earliest invasions, which weren’t convincing back then, either.

Putin says Ukraine has been mistreating ethnic Russians. He even goes as far as to call it genocide, a declaration that doesn’t support any of that pesky evidence we all like.

Likewise, Hitler baselessly alleged prejudice against ethnic Germans in Czechoslovakia’s Sudetenland as a pretext for capturing that territory.

Putin also stated that the Ukrainians snuck across the border to attack Russia, which is strikingly familiar with Hitler’s claims that Polish nationals attacked a radio broadcast station and proceeded to invade their country.

Hmmm, a bit timely for these two dictators who were clearly seeking excuses to invade. And isn’t it convenient how they both had massive armies already placed along their borders?
