Identify The Underlying Issues

Earning and spending might sound like a simple case of addition and subtraction. But when it comes to your money troubles, it’s usually much more complex than that. The thing is, most arguments aren’t really about the dollar amounts, though it might seem like it at the time.

Instead, they’re usually symptoms of some sort of underlying issues that must be addressed if you want to move forward in your relationship. Whether your partner is the spender or the saver, have you ever stopped to consider why they’re like that?

Perhaps they grew up in poverty and are scared of experiencing it again. Maybe everyone around them had nice things, but they didn’t, and that always made them feel inferior.

Whatever the case may be, you’ll never solve your money troubles until you get to the real root of the issue.
