Adopt a pet

They say if you adopt a pet, it’s likely they will become your friends for life! And it’s true. Although pets cannot replace human interaction, they can add joy and companionship to your life and make you feel less alone. Additionally, taking care of a dog, for example, can make you feel less isolated and more wanted, both of which are potent antidepressants. Several studies have shown that people who have a pet are less likely to develop depression or anxiety.

A lot of seniors are adopting pets to see what it’s like to take care of a child again, because after all, it’s their baby! And it’s cute to see elders smiling because of a cute and clumsy doggo. What do you think about this? Would you consider adopting a pet yourself? Tell us in the comments.
