8. Chiclephobia

Last but not least on our list of the most unusual phobias, we have chiclephobia, which is the fear of chewing gum. Symtoms of panic and anxiety may happen when people think about chewing gum, but they may also be triggered when seeing others chewing gum or seeing previously-chewed gum.

While the exact root cause of this specific fear isn’t fully understood, like other phobias, it may be caused by a previous negative experience. According to experts, you’re more likely to develop a phobia if you have a family member who has an anxiety disorder, phobia, or other mental health condition.

If you’re dealing with anxiety or a specific phobia, this workbook can help you overcome the fears and thoughts that stand in the way of living a happy and meaningful life.
