6 Tips On Dealing With Toxic in-Laws This Easter

Respect Differences

Unfortunately, your toxic in-law will likely continue to make you feel “less than” in many of your encounters to come. There will always be someone they consider better than you and compare you to them.

It could be their biological parent they see you as trying to substitute, a previous mate, or simply the image they have in mind for who their family member should be spending their time with rather than you.

And the truth is that you can’t always change people’s opinions or behavior. So you should try to be a role model and respect everyone’s point of view. If there’s a subject that creates too much conflict for your entire family, like religion or politics, steer clear of it entirely.

You don’t have to accept everyone’s opinions, just respect them if you want Easter Sunday to go smoothly this year.
