9. Get a good night’s sleep

A restful night’s sleep is essential for general well-being not only happiness. Sleep needs for most people are in the range of eight hours each night. In addition to making it difficult for your brain to recall pleasant memories, sleep deprivation can also make you irritable, anxious, and depressed.

If you get adequate rest, you’re more likely to be energized and focused to handle any challenges life throws at you. Additionally, you’ll feel better and recall pleasant memories from your past more readily.
