Be As Open As Possible

Your feelings are likely all over the place. But it’s still crucial to be as open as you can possibly be. If you’re angry, scared, or anything else, say that. Your significant other needs to know how you feel during this process. If you’re feeling anxious about something, bring it up.

Allow them to soothe what you’re feeling through more honest communication. A long and loving marriage has a strong foundation in honesty and faith. Infidelity can tear apart what you’ve built in the blink of an eye.

As you and your partner begin to figure out your relationship in the aftermath, rebuild that trust gradually. Keeping a lid on things and not talking about essential issues might have been one of the causes of the infidelity.

Since you’re building from the bottom up now, be sure you’re both open and honest with each other to begin to trust each other’s actions and words again.
