The prolonged period of exhaustion known as burnout isn’t just a state of mind; it’s a serious syndrome that affects countless workers across the country. This motivational book is here to help readers understand how to break free from the biological stress cycle. It also explains why women struggle with burnout differently from men, how to deal with the low motivation that comes with it, and how to manage emotions.

According to the two authors, burnout is depersonalization, emotional exhaustion, and a decreased sense of accomplishment. They also point out that just because you’ve coped with a stressor in your life doesn’t necessarily mean you’ve unlocked a stress cycle. In fact, that’s exactly why people experience burnout—they get stuck in that cycle.

This motivational book is great if you want to better understand your body’s response to stress and put an end to the loop of the stress cycle.
