8. Manipulative tendencies

Another way to spot a sociopath would be to look for manipulative tactics in their behavior. This may include a pattern of guilting, lying, or coercing others into doing things for them. Sociopathic people use emotional manipulation, their charm, and their powers of persuasion to control the choices and actions of other people, often for their own self-serving interests.

When a sociopath is trying to win someone over, especially a potential romantic partner, they may use a strategy known as love bombing, which basically means they try to be overly kind in order to get what they want.

In other words, if someone’s kindness feels “off”, or if their attention seems to be “too much”, listen to your gut.

This makes total sense. Sociopaths can be very charming, but once that mask comes off, watch out!!! and yes they do like to hold positions of power. They can be very successful, but they tend to be quite ruthless as well which is why they get to the top I suppose. With that being said, they do not have to many friends as a rule and the only ones they do have, usually are paid to be around, not true friends. I would like to see an article comparing Sociopaths to Narcissist, I believe they have some of the same traits!

Studying insight has always been helpful for me; because of characteristics from others. Some females of age have the twisted mental obsession of Narcissistic issues I’ve experienced.

So… It turns out that just about every single person I know is a sociopath. I knew the problem was them and not me.

My question is, what personality type is the person that is continually drawn in by sociopaths? Asking for a friend…… No, really, every relationship I have ever had has been a narcissist at best, sociopath at worst. Why me?
