5. There are changes in their vocal tone
This one is pretty easy to detect when someone’s lying. Either it’s too low or it’s too high; there’s something about their vocal tone that seems different from normal. For instance, if someone’s trying to make others buy their story, they usually lower their voice to sound more serious. Also, when a liar is nervous, their voice will get higher.
These changes in the vocal tone can also be noticed as the liar speaks. Their voice may go down and up over different parts of the lie. That’s because they lose control of their voice as they become more nervous. Therefore, if somebody’s voice sounds strange, they’re probably lying.
