Anxiety is a common feeling. It’s the main way we respond to stress and warns you of potential threats.

Everybody occasionally experiences anxiety. You might worry, for instance, when you encounter a challenge at work, before an exam, or before considering a significant decision.

It’s acceptable to experience occasional anxiety. The anxiety disorders, however, are distinct. This category of mental conditions produces unrelenting, intense worry and fear. You might avoid social events that could worsen or provoke your symptoms, such as work, family gatherings, and other social interactions, due to your extreme anxiety.

Nearly 30% of adults experience an anxiety disorder at some point in their lives, making it the most common of all mental disorders. There are, however, several effective therapies for anxiety disorders. Most people who receive treatment can live regular, fulfilling lives.

      1. Know how you feel. I wish I could change my thoughts but I have to just learn to live with it like I have been doing for a long time.

    1. Hey i know it feels that way that no one cares but they really do -and they most likely just dont want to make things any worse for you. What may help is if you reach out to them and let them know how in what ways they best can provide help or support you .

    2. You’d be surprised how many care. I have this myself from seeing my husband killed by cops in our home. I also have chronic PTSD from it. So I understand and I care. It’s very hard to face everyday life on my own. I’m very thankful for my kids and everyone else.

    3. I’m so so sorry, Carl😥😓😓😞😞I feel you and I have great sadness, grief and empathy towards you and also what you’ve gone through because I’ve had tremendous anxiety attacks all throughout my life even as a small child to now an adult, a 56 year old Disabled American Veteran of the US Army, a cancer survivor and More than a Conqueror of cancer in Jesus Christ 😃! I’m going to share a little bit about what has pulled me out of and away from the attack from anxiety. I’m sharing this with you because I believe it will help you and save you as it did me. Allow me if you will to share and read it. Remember, it is your very personal decision to make and I can’t make it for you. I can tell you that I saw your text message and it broke my heart, so I stopped what I was doing to share this very important good news to help see where you can find help, rest, and real peace of mind for the rest of your life, Carl.
Now, I’ve had to battle anxiety all my life and it was a giant BUT when I gave my life, believed, and trusted in Jesus as my very personal Lord & Savior, He stepped into my life and into my very personal emotional torment that was like a storm, spoke His peace to it and it was then that I received a peace of mind that I’ve never known, what His Word, the Bible calls “the peace that passes ALL understanding” It all didn’t change overnight and it has been a journey. I’ve had 3 medication changes over the years and therapy sessions that weren’t a good fit for me at the time neither was I ready to go further in my personal emotional, mental healing path that God has put me on. But I’ve come an extremely long way, and I’m finally on the right medications(which I won’t be on for the rest of my life because most of it can be dealt with by a more healthy diet lifestyle) and I’m more receptive and ready to meet the right therapist to help me and equip me to deal and heal from the attack of anxiety. I also joined an awesome church community called Christ Fellowship and they have Recovery groups for all kinds of addictions and issues that are confidential and all encompassing. This community of True Believers in Christ Jesus are very loving, non-judgemental, compassion, and empathic yet very Bible based.
So- please go 1st, seek medical psychological attention for your deep anxiety and grief, because you say you have no one and you’re in a very vulnerable mental state right now and this life is a battle for your mind and the battle is quite often in the mind.
If you are out of a job and don’t have shelter, food or clothing please seek community services or church charities for assistance especially if you’re a Veteran, like me🇺🇸❤️
Then if you have a job and shelter, food and clothing go find a good community of faith and even start to pray to God if you never have or if you have before and quit for whatever reason.
God really loves you, Jesus loves you and He is REAL. I can this with confidence because He did and is still doing it for little ole’ me🫅🏻💜

      Philippians 4:6
“The Lord is Near! Do not be anxious about anything. Instead, in every situation with prayer and petition with thanksgiving, tell your requests to God. And the peace that surpasses all understanding will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.”
      Jesus loves you-
16 For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. 17 For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.
Be healed in Jesus Mighty Name and run into His Loving arms❤️✝️❤️He is there for you.
      Have a good day☀️

    4. Just now seeing this. When I say I understand and care, I mean it🙏🏻 Some free guided meditations are now helping me. Insight Timer, Guided Mind phone apps.

    5. Dear Carl, my name is Russ and I know how you feel, I myself lost 6 member , my Mother 3 sisters and two brothers in one night to a fire, and it still hurts. I found that I needed to talk about with someone. hope this helps. Much Love Bro

    6. I care, too. You’re not alone. But I know it feels that way. I’ve suffered much loss, too. I see a psychologist. Help is out there. You feel stuck, I know. Frozen in place. Pick a doc and call is the hardest thing to do. After that, it gets easier. I hope you do this.

    7. Carl,
I hope things are better since you wrote this. I can see by how short your statement was, this has been detrimental to you. I was in the same boat. Not sure if you meant your immediate family or marriage. Mine was marriage. Just know we are all out there and have felt your pain. God bless.

  1. You can always get help. Talk to God. Reach out to a friend, church clergy, or a clinic that has free services. There are phone numbers, too, you can call and talk to someone. I feel no one cares, too, but down deep I know they do. They are busy with their own lives.

    1. Noooo, not church. All the guilt and condemnation will multiply your anxiety exponentially. The answer is in your soul and how you train your own self to respond to the universe.

  2. Exercise mostly running and also weight lifting helps me feel really good.
One of the best feelings is when i run on the beach in the wet sand near the waters edge .
If i get too hot i soak in the sea water.
Make sure to drink plenty water when at beach. .

  3. I have suffered from panic attacks all my life, and I cope with it by avoiding certain types of situations when possible. But recently, twice I have fully fainted while having a panic attack. I’m afraid to climb a ladder now and I am a construction worker. No medicine is going to cure me. It would not matter anyways, I am hypoglycemic. What a combination to have to live with.

  4. Carl, I am sorry that you feel that way and am in that same position right now. The people that you love won’t listen, constantly interrupt you when you reach out and make you feel worthless and unloved. I know what you’re going through, it stinks. Best of luck, I guess that we just have to stay positive and keep pushing through. I’m sorry Carl

  5. WHEN SOMEONE SAIDS NO ONE CARES IS IT THAT YOU DONT CARE. WE AS HUMANS HAVE THE TENDENCY TO BLAME OTHERS FOR OUR SHORT COMINGS. NO ONE WILL DEDICATE THEIR LIVES TO CARE OF WE DON’T CARE FOR OURSELVES. IF FAMILY AND ASSOCIATES ARE NOT TOP OF THE LIST OF WHO CAN I TALK TO WE HAVE TO LOOK AT OURSELVES AND ASK WHY DON’T SOMEONE WANT TO DEAL WITH US? WHEN YOU ANALYZE YOURSELVES SOMETHINGS WILL RING TRUE. WE GET WHAT WE GIVE MOST OF THE TIME. WHEN YOU CARE ABOUT YOU OTHERS WILL TOO, WHEN YOU LOVE YOU OTHERS WILL TOO. WHEN YOU SHOW YOURSELF FRIENDLY YOU’LL HAVE FRIENDS. WE ARE VIEWING THINGS FROM A SELF ABSORBED PERSPECTIVE TODAY AND THAT IS NOT HOW WE ARE DESIGNED. WE ARE DESIGNED TO HAVE OTHERS IN OUR LIVES AND UNTIL WE UNDERSTAND THAT WE WILL ALWAYS THINK NO ONE CARES BUT IT’S REALLY OURSELVES. TODAY IS A GIFT, TOMORROW IS NOT PROMISED SO LOVE LIKE THERE IS NOT ANOTHER SECOND TO GIVE.

  6. A specific displacement of GAD or phobia is the horrible illness of hypochondriasis, the persistent fear that symptoms are indicative of serious illness, even when tests in certain areas of concern turn out normal, because there is always yet another potentially catastrophic symptom that seems to arise to worry about.

  7. Carl, the enemy(Satan) wants you to believe that nobody cares. GOD cares first and foremost. If HE didn’t care HE would not have sent HIS son JESUS to earth to die for our sins. That’s huge. HE gave us all the opportunity to make heaven our eternal home. That’s everlasting life with never a problem forever. This time that we live on earth is so short compared to eternal life. GOD loves you and is with you. If you have not opened your heart to HIM and confessed your sins please do so and ask HIM for guidance. I care about your pain. I will be praying for you. Reach out for therapy. We all need it. Pray everyday and ask GOD to put caring people in your life. Never believe that there is no hope because there is. Feel GOD’S amazing love. HE’S in every breath you take. You awaken each day because of HIS amazing love. HE has sustained you and provided for you all of your life. When we go through life’s challenges we often feel alone. But the truth of the matter is that GOD cares and is with us every step of the way. Reach out to him and keep HIM as an integral part of your life. Be blessed and seek GOD with all of your heart.

  8. I have had anxiety all my life. Everyday to some degree. It can be relentless and most difficult. Soldier on and keep the faith in God. He sustains us.

  9. Hello,
I have been fighting a loosing battle with Anxiety as I have tried all the meds that are out there per my Psychiatrist and the only pill that works a little is Klonopin. I take a 1 mg table when things get really bad. Anxiety feels like a 600 pound elephant sitting on my Sternum and has put me in the hospital over 40 times in the last 2 years. Can anyone recommend or know of a medicine that has worked for them. I also have Congestive Heart Failure and blood pressure that cannot make up its mind. Either its under 100 systolic or over 200 systolic. I am open for any suggestions.
    Thank you for your time

  10. Do therapists really care? I have called about 45 therapists they supposedly accept my insurance-not one is available-the answer is “not accepting new patients-“they stop taking g my insurance “ and the lists goes -no wonder there is so much people losing their marbles.

  11. In addition to what these wonderful people are telling you, please speak with a nutritionist. The makeup of your physical system contributes so much to your mental state.

  12. I have anxiety every day. It makes me edgy no consontration and very inverted. When around people it hurts that know one knows or can understand. It’s like life is flowing by and I’m just watching everyone else be happy and non caring. Multiple meds do nothing.
