5. You make them feel guilty

If you don’t see your grandchildren very often and you constantly call them to remind them of this, then you should expect them to avoid you.

This insistence on the fact that they don’t call you frequently or that you don’t see each other often will make them feel bad, and they will try to avoid you as much as possible.

Try not to stress them out with this issue as much as possible. A great idea would be to invite them over for an activity they might enjoy.

You can also communicate with their parents and express that you would like to see your grandkids more often, and they might be able to help.
