When you ask people if they are above average regarding any topic, most of them will tend to respond with “yes”. But is this true? Or even possible? Well, if we look at the statistics, this is mathematically impossible. The above-average group is way smaller than you imagine.

Let’s take a simple example. According to this famous survey, when a group of people was asked if they considered themselves above-average drivers, more than 80% of the respondents said yes; they believed they were above-average drivers.

Now, if we take a look at the other questions they answered in the survey, we can find out that most of the respondents were injured in car accidents or caused minor accidents. Pretty ironic, right?

But are there any signs that might indicate you are smarter than the average? We are going to present a list with some of the most common indicators that you have an IQ that is higher than the average. Read on and find out all about it!
