Don’t Rely On Easy Fixes

Your significant other may try to excuse their infidelity with some kind of grand romantic gesture. But while a lavish gift may seem loving to you, it pales compared to the caring nature of a person staying faithful.

While a gesture that’s heartfelt can be the first step towards healing your relationship, it shouldn’t be the final one. You and your spouse can only get through the challenging period by demonstrating that they’re worthy of your trust again.

Neither you nor your partner should try to speed up this process. Putting that kind of pressure on your relationship says they’re thinking about their feelings over yours. They DO have the right to ask you for forgiveness, but you have the right not to deliver it.
