1. You will need to work harder than you’ve ever imagined

Have you ever tried to lose weight? If your answer is “yes”, then you are aware of the work you put in before getting the results you wished for. And now, let’s be honest: most of the time, when people try to lose weight, they don’t succeed on the first try. Sometimes they might even surrender and never try to lose weight again.

Marriage can be compared with the process of losing weight. People always say that marriage takes work, and it really does, but often we don’t understand the true meaning of this “work.” Maybe we think that if we are patient and just wait for things to sort themselves out, everything is going to be alright. But in reality, this never happens.

If you want to have a happy marriage, you first need to work on yourself. That means you need to become a better person. This is a constant process. It never stops because there’s always room for improvement.
