Volunteer in various activities

Volunteering can be nice and fun, especially for seniors who don’t know what to do with their free time in retirement. Working again isn’t an option for everybody, but volunteering might be. Teaching kids, helping other elders, or taking care of dogs at animal shelters in your neighborhood might help you get a distraction, which is exactly what you need if you’re dealing with depression. Does doing this alone scare you? Talk to some friends or relatives who may want to join you in this activity. Together, you can have fun but also feel useful for the community!

And according to various studies, more than 25 million Americans between the ages of 50 and 70 are willing to contribute their knowledge, enthusiasm, and experience to encore jobs that serve the needs of society.
