5 Negative Ways Aging Seriously Impacts a Senior’s Mental Health

Loss Of Independence

As aging adults tend to become less physically able to engage in their favorite hobbies at this period in their life, including driving themselves to run errands or taking care of things around the house, they usually mourn their loss of being independent.

It’s hard to rely on others for primary care or even to ask for little favors at times, particularly for the people who once relied upon them for assistance daily.

Some seniors even find themselves losing their freedom because they become caregivers for spouses, other family members, or elderly friends whose health has declined more rapidly than their own.
