Panic Attack Coping Strategy: If Possible, Remove Yourself From The Situation

Whether you’re at a fancy dinner in a restaurant or anywhere else for that matter, the moment you begin having a panic attack or serious feelings of anxiety, you should somehow remove yourself from the situation if possible.

Feeling safe and without fear of judgment will help alleviate some extra sense of fear. Once you’ve removed yourself and are safe, a good panic attack coping strategy is to begin really thinking about what has been happening lately that has led you up to this moment.

If you’re somewhere, like in a car or on a train, try to close your eyes and put on a pair of headphones to create some personal space for yourself.
